PM Ujjwala Yojana: The Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) to provide LPG gas connection to every household in the country. The aim of this scheme is to provide free LPG connection to women of poor and low-income families. How to apply for Ujjwala Yojana
To apply online for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), you have to follow these steps given below.
1. Go to the official website of PMUY https://www.pmuy.gov.in/.
2. Click on the link “Apply for New Ujjwala 3.0 Connection” on the home page of the website.
3. As soon as you click on this option, a new page will open in front of you where you will see the following three agencies, in which you have to select one of Indane, Bharat Gas, HP Gas.
4. After this, go to the website of the chosen gas agency. If you have chosen the option of Bharat Gas, then go to the website of Bharat Gas Connection.
5. Go to the home page of the new website and click on the option of “Ujjwala 3.0 New Connection”.
6. After this, after ticking on “Hereby Declare”, select your state and district, and click on “Show List”.
7. On the new page, you will see the list of all the distributors of your district. After selecting your nearest distributor from the list, click on “Continue”.
8. As soon as you click Continue, a new page will open. Now enter your mobile number and captcha and submit.
9. After this, the application form will appear in front of you, fill it carefully.
10. After filling the form, upload the scanned copy of all the required documents and then click on “Submit”.
11. After submitting, print the application form and submit it to your nearest gas agency along with the copy of all the required documents.
12. Then the gas agency will review your application. If you are found eligible, you will be provided a free gas connection.
If you want, you can also apply offline for PMUY. For this, you will have to contact the nearest LPG distributor in your area.
Eligibility criteria for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
If you have not been able to take advantage of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) till now, then you still have a chance to apply. For this, you have to fulfill the following conditions:
1. The applicant must be a woman and a permanent resident of India.
2. The age of the applicant should be at least 18 years or more.
3. This scheme is for women holding ration card.
4. There should not be any gas connection in your name already.
5. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 1,00,000 in rural areas and less than Rs 2,00,000 in urban areas.
6. Women from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) or other weaker sections will also be eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
