LPG Price: Only a few days are left for the festival of brother-sister Rakshabandhan. Last year, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Prime Minister Modi had reduced the price of gas cylinder by Rs 200. It has often been seen that on this festive occasion, big announcements are made by the government for women in different states of the country. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the gift of free travel to women in buses on the day of Rakshabandhan. Apart from this, the Madhya Pradesh government has made a big announcement related to LPG cylinders. The direct benefit of this will be given to the women of MP by the government.
What is the announcement of the MP government?
It was just a few days ago when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had talked about giving LPG cylinders for Rs 450 under the ‘Laadli Behna Yojana’. CM Mohan Yadav had said that 40 lakh Ladli sisters of the state who have gas cylinders under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yoj ana (PMUY) and Non-PMUY will be given gas cylinders at the rate of Rs 450. Under this scheme, the beneficiary sisters are also given Rs 1250 every month by the government. But this time the Chief Minister has talked about giving Rs 1500 instead of 1250. That is, 250 rupees more than every time.
The rate of gas cylinder was reduced by Rs 200
Earlier in the year 2023, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big gift to all LPG customers (33 crore connections) in the second term of the government. Under this, the price of LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 200 per cylinder. After this decision, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi came down from Rs 1103 to Rs 903.
After this, on March 8, 2024, on the occasion of Women’s Day, the Modi government again announced a reduction of Rs 100 in the rate of cylinder. In this way, the rate of LPG cylinder in Delhi remained Rs 803. The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana are given a subsidy of Rs 300 by the government. In such a situation, the effective rate of this cylinder comes down to Rs 503 for them.
