New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni (MS Dhoni), registered their first win of this season of IPL (IPL 2021) by defeating Punjab Kings by 6 wickets. Batting first, Punjab gave Dhoni’s team a target of 107 runs, which was achieved by Chennai in a loss of four wickets in 15.4 overs. Chennai lost their first match to Delhi. Even though Dhoni could not get a chance to bat against Punjab, he did wonders in Punjab’s innings.

Dhoni finished 20 overs in 88 minutes before time. Whereas he was heavily fined for slown over rate against Delhi. Dhoni was fined Rs 12 lakh. In fact, the BCCI has made a rule that now every team must complete their 20 overs in 90 minutes.

Earlier this was the rule.
Earlier the rule was that the 20th over should be started in 90 minutes but now within an hour and a half, you will have to finish the prescribed 20 overs. In 90 minutes, the teams will get two time outs of two and a half minutes. Meaning teams will have to throw a total of 20 overs in 85 minutes. According to this, every team will have to throw 14.11 overs in an hour.

If Dhoni repeats such a mistake again, he may face a threat of ban. According to the IPL’s Cord of Conduct, violating the rule for the first time means a penalty of Rs 12 lakh and if the mistake happens again in the next two matches, then the captain may face a stiff punishment. and Talking about the match played between Chennai, first Deepak Chahar stopped Punjab with a low score by bowling brilliantly and then after this, CSK easily achieved the target due to the batting of Faf du Plessi and Moin Ali. Chahar took four wickets for 13 runs. While Plessi remained unbeaten on 36 and Ali scored 46 runs.
