Telugu superstar Allu Arjun shut down rumours about 'Pushpa 2' getting delayed at an event in Hyderabad on August 21. The actor mouthed his punch dialogue ' Thaggede Le ' and reconfirmed that the film will hit theatres on December 6. The event was also attended by 'Pushpa 2' director Sukumar.
A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that all was not well between Sukumar and Allu Arjun. However, their appearance at the event has put a full stop to the speculations.
Allu Arjun and Sukumar attended the pre-release event of veteran Telugu actor Rao Ramesh's 'Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam' on August 21. At the event, the two gave updates about 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.
Speaking at the event, Allu Arjun said, "You know the feeling when you see how a film is turning out? You get some sort of confidence. I don't know if I should call it confidence. But, the way the film is shaping up...you all will like it. I will not say too much. December 6 Assalu Thaggedhe Le (I will not back down). This is fixed."
Director Sukumar reconfirmed'Pushpa 2's' release date at the event and assured that the film would be a treat to the fans.
He said, "We initially thought we were doing 'Pushpa' for us. But it's for you [pointing at the fans]. We are working hard to provide the best experience to fans. A few scenes are taking more time and I don't want to compromise on the quality. Allu Arjun's performance and the film will be phenomenal."
Sukumar treated fans at the event by saying, "Performance Thaggedhe Le. Movie Assalu Thaggedhe Le." He also did the 'Pushpa' mannerism while ending his speech.
Pushpa 2: The Rule' was slated to release on August 15. However, the film was postponed due to non-completion of shoot. This fuelled rumours about a possible rift between Sukumar and Allu Arjun. But, the duo dismissed the rumours with their bromance at the event.
The sequel features Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' will grace theatres on December 6 in multiple languages.
