Ravi Shastri, the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, has paid tribute to the demise of former all-rounder Rajendrasingh Jadeja. Former Saurashtra cricketer and BCCI referee Rajendrasinh Jadeja died on Sunday due to Corona virus. He was 66 years old. Jadeja was counted among the best swing bowling all-rounders in domestic cricket. Jadeja played professional cricket from 1974 to 1987 and created a furore with his performance on a 22-yard pitch. Ravi Shastri mourned the death of Jadeja and said that he had lost his friend.

May his soul rest in peace. Jadeja led Saurashtra’s fast bowling attack for a decade. He also played corporate cricket for Bombay. Apart from this, he also got a chance to play for the West Zone in the Duleep Trophy.
Rajendrasinh Jadeja’s career
Rajendrasinh Jadeja took 134 wickets in 50 first-class matches while also scoring 1536 runs. At the same time, in addition to scoring 104 runs in 11 List A matches, he has also recorded 14 wickets. Not only this, Jadeja also played the role of match referee of BCCI in 105 matches. These included 53 first class matches, so he had the same responsibility in 18 List A matches. He was also the match referee in 34 T20 bouts. Apart from this, Jadeja also played the role of coach of Saurashtra under-23 team. Jadeja was also the selector and team manager of the Saurashtra Cricket Association. Former BCCI secretary Niranjan Shan, while condoling Jadeja’s death, said he was a cricketer of exceptional ability. At the same time, President of Saurashtra Cricket Association Jaydev Shah said, this is an incomplete loss for the cricket world.
